Christmas Gone Wrong
A scene of Christmas gone wrong with Santa stuck in the (fake) chimney, a reindeer tangled in lights, an elf hanging from a ledge, and presents strewn over the roof and in the trees. The display builds on the faux chimney with Santa legs that we debuted last year.
The reindeer:
Santa’s sack with gifts:
We made “gifts” from foam.
We wrapped the foam blocks with wrapping paper and secured them with packing tape. We used long screws with string to keep the gifts in place.
Santa’s burlap sack was filled with a large trashcan and bags of leftover foam bits. (I guess we were bad this year)
Santa’s bag, mounted and topped with a gift.
The elf:
We drew and cut the elf from three layers of 2″ thick foam. The layers were glued and shaped.
After dressing the elf – felt, bells, yarn hair and lots of hot glue – screws were placed in the hands. He was secured to the façade with small nails and wire.
This is becoming a part of our Christmas tradition… waiting to see what you all come up with each year! Thank you for spreading Holiday cheer for everyone to enjoy! Awesome job!
